Obituary

Mary Ella Gamble second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gamble was born in Crawford township, Madison county, Iowa, Sept. 18, 1882, and died Feb. 12, 1901.

In 1897 she came with her parents to Jackson township, where they now live.

She has been a patient sufferer from heart trouble for several years. In January the disease assumed a serious form. Medical aid proved insufficient. Tenderest care was given loved ones, yet, “He who doeth all things well” saw fit to take her away.

The funeral services were held at the home Feb. 13, conducted by Rev. Finney.

The interment was made at Montpelier cemetery near Patterson.

Ella was a young woman of strong character and pure motives. She possessed those qualities of mind and heart that made her a friend to every acquaintance and endeared her to those who knew her best.

During the winter of 1900 she united with the U.P. church at Pitzer. To the last her faith remained undaunted.

Aged parents, one sister, and three brothers treasure the sacred memory of one whom they loved, and for whom they hoped so much.
