Betty C. Codwell, 81, died of a heart ailment Jan. 7, 2000, at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 10, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

B.C. Codwell was born Dec. 16, 1918, to Elva Codwell of Des Moines.
