Naomi Veryle Myers of Independence, Mo., formerly of Truro, died Saturday, March 15, at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo., at the age of 53.
She had lived in Truro until moving to Independence in 1976.
Born on Aug. 30, 1926, in Creston, she was the daughter of Ralph E. and Mae N. Patterson Lane.
She attended Elm Grove and Truro schools and on Feb. 21, 1947, was united in marriage with Kenneth L. Myers in Olathe, Kan.
She was a member of the Waldo Avenue Baptist Church in Independence.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; two children, Virginia L. White of Ilwaco, Wash., and Tom Myers of Independence, Mo.; her mother, Mrs. Mae Lane of Truro; three brothers, Ward Lane of St. Charles, Orval Lane of Independence, Mo. and Darrell Lane of Austin, Texas; and two sister, Helen Skaggs of Earlham and Bernice Henry of Lorimor.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the United Methodist Church in Truro with Rev. George Campbell officiating. Burial was at the Ebenezer Cemetery.

Naomi Veryle Myers, 53, 11423 E. 27th Terrace, Independence, Missouri, died at the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday March 15. Funeral services will be held from the United Methodist Church in Truro at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, with the Rev. George Campbell of Truro officiating at the 1 p.m. rites. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Truro.
Naomi Veryle Myers was born in Creston, Iowa, on August 30, 1926, daughter of Ralph E. Lane and Mae N. Patterson Lane. She attended schools in Elm Grove and Truro before being married to Kenneth L. Myers on February 21, 1947 in Olathe, Kansas. Two children were born to this union.
She lived in Truro until moving to Independence, Missouri, in 1976. She was a member of the Waldo Avenue Baptist Church in Independence.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth of Independence, daughter, Mrs. Virginia L. White of Ilwaco, Washington, son, Tom Myers of Independence, two grandchildren, mother, Mrs. Mae Lane of Truro, Three brothers, Ward Lane of St.. Charles, Orval Lane of Independence and Darrell Lane of Austin, Texas, and two sisters Helen Skaggs of Earlham, Iowa and Berniece Henry of Lorimor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Lane.
