DEATH OF THOMAS DURHAM
Thomas Henry Durham, a former resident of St. Charles died last week at the St. Anthony hospital at Rock Island, from self inflicted wounds in his throat and pneumonia.
Mr. Durham was born and raised near St. Charles. He was married thirty-two years ago at Clarion to Miss Evelina Gangstead.
He was employed for eleven years by the Rock Island railroad as foreman on the Cedar Rapids division, out of Holmes, Iowa.
He moved with his family to Rock Island in 1929.
Mrs. Durham is critically ill at the hospital, suffering from wounds received when Mr. Durham attempted to kill her and then fatally injured himself.
Mr. Durham has two brothers residing at St. Charles, Page and Allen Durham; another brother Jerry of Des Moines and Edward of Wolsey, South Dakota and a sister Mrs. Linc Tise of Monroe.
