MORTUARY

Julia Ann Dowler, daughter of Joseph and Martha Roberts Dowler was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, February 29th, 1864, and passed away August 25, 1932, at her home in Winterset, aged 68 years, 5 months and 25 days.

On February 29, 1888, she was united in marriage to J. W. Eldridge. To this union three daughters were born.

They lived on a farm near Hanley for several years and in 1901 moved to Winterset where they have since made their home. She was converted while attending school at Ackworth, Iowa, and united with the Friends church. Upon coming to Winterset she affiliated with the Baptist church. As long as her health and strength permitted she was a faithful member in attending church and Sunday school. She was always kind and thoughful of others.

About four years ago her health failed and since that time she has been gradually declining until the last year when she was confined to her home most of the time.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three daughters, Mrs. Walter Abrahams of Winterset, Mrs. Charles A. Clark and Mrs. Warren Essick of Des Moines, also six grandchildren Julia Ann and Ruth Clark, and Dean, Muriel, Anice and Don Abrahams. Three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Jane Imes of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. F. R. Porter and Mrs. Will Porter of Truro, Iowa, Steward Dowler of Peru and H. R. Dowler of Casper, Wyoming and many other relatives and friends.
