Inez Esther Hart, 100, of Perry, died January 14, 1994 at the Perry Lutheran Home in Perry. Funeral services were January 18, 1994 at the Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. The Reverend Nancy J. Nichols officiated. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles.
She was born October 11, 1893 in Warren County to Alec Washington and Sallie V. (Leftwich) Johnston. She married Henry Everett Hart on October 17, 1910. She and her husband farmed in Warren County until 1933. They then moved to Grimes and later to Urbandale where they become school janitors.
She was a member of the Urbandale Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three daughters; one son; one brother and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Marvin E. Hart and wife Rosemary of Spring Hill, Florida and Ronald K. Hart and wife Harriett of Fort Meyers, Florida; one daughter, Phyllis York and husband Leonard of Perry; 26 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
