Dorothy Kimm, West Des Moines

Dorothy M. Kimm, 64, of West Des Moines, died of cancer Aug. 26, 1995 at her home. Memorial services were held Aug. 29 at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Burial of the cremains were at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

She was born in Casey and had lived in the Des Moines area many years. She was a retired teacher at Crossroads Elementary School and a member of the national, Iowa and West Des Moines education associations; Tri T, and the West Des Moines Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jill Kimm of Bettendorf and Mary Kimm of Maui, Hawaii; one son, Toby Kimm of Westbrook, Conn.; two sisters, Evelyn Christensen of Casey and Norma Egger of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Gene Madsen of Winterset and Bill Madsen of Cedar Falls, and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
