OSCAR MUELLER DIES AT 86 YEARS

Oscar Mueller, prominent Montana attorney who was a member of a pioneer family in Jefferson township, died Friday, Jan. 3, at Lewistown, Mont. He had suffered a stroke the preceding Tuesday while at work in his office.

Mr. Mueller was 86 years of age. He was born March 29, 1877, in Madison county, a son of George and Catherine Schott Mueller. He studied at Iowa State Normal School at Cedar Falls, where he graduated with the class of 1903 with a master's degree. He taught school at Staceyville until 1905, when he entered the State University of Iowa at Iowa City, where he graduated in law in 1908. Since that time he had practiced law at Lewistown.

Mr. Mueller was the last survivor among the seven children born to George and Catherine Mueller. He is survived by his wife Josephine; two sons, George and Glen Mueller; and three granddaughters.
