DEATH OF D. F. CLAMPITT

David Francis Clampitt passed away at his home eleven miles northwest of Winterset, June 26th at the age of 79 years. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Tuesday at 10:30 o'clock conducted by Reverend H. N. Waddell of the Early Chapel church. Burial was in Winterset.

Mr. Clampitt came to Iowa with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Clampitt when a child 3 years old. The family located in the Worthington neighborhood in Madison township. In 1879 he was united in marriage to Annis Jane Miller. To this union were born six children who survive him: Charles of Blockton, Robert Lee, Clara Tilton, Nelle of Winterset, Elsie Piatt and Frank of Earlham.

Mr. Clampitt had been in ill health for some time and was taken worse a week ago. He fell on the stairs of his home and was bedfast for a week before death came.

DAVID FRANCIS CLAMPITT

David Francis Clampitt, son of William and Sally Clampitt was born in Lawrence County, Indiana, on March 3, 1853, and died at his home eleven miles northwest of Winterset in Douglas township June 26, 1932, at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 23 days.

He was the last living member of his family of seven children.

He came to Iowa with his parents when three years of age and located on the Delain farm near Worthington, Madison township, Madison county and has lived in that community ever since.

He was united in marriage to Annis Jane Miller December 21, 1879. To this union six children were born: Charles of Blockton, Iowa; Robert Lee of Winterset; Nelle at home; Elsie Piatt of Earlham; Frank of Earlham. He also has twelve grandchildren.

He united with the Church of Christ at Montieth, Iowa, in 1895 and has been a member ever since.

Funeral services were held at the Winterset Church of Christ Tuesday, June 28th at 10:30 a.m. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
