MORTUARY

July 7, 1932

Wilbert Harold Kale

Wilbert Harold, son of Wilbert M. and Lulu M. Kale was born near St. Charles, November 16th, 1910, and passed away at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, June 25, 1932, aged 21 years, 7 months and 15 days.

Harold, as he was familiarly known by his friends, was identified with the Methodist church at an early age, and was an active member of the Epworth League, who will sadly miss him at their meetings where he invariably was to be found when it was possible to be there.

He was universally loved by all who knew him, was genial, happy, kindhearted and to anyone in distress was ever ready to lend a helping hand, at any cost to himself. A brother, Robert Russell preceded him in death August 24, 1925.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his father, mother, two sisters, Fern Balmer of Denver, Colorado, Audrey Johnson of Lacey, Iowa, one niece Shirley Balmer, one nephew Wendell Johnson, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Howard, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were held at the St. Charles M. E. church Wednesday afternoon, June 29th, by the Rev. Weed, assisted by L. W. Nixon, the local pastor.

(Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.)
