CARMEN SPIDLE, Woodward

Carmen Evelyn (Davis) Spidle, 85, of Woodward, died Sept. 21, 1995, at the Woodward Health Care Center. Services were at the United Methodist Church in Woodward on Sept. 24. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born July 10, 1910, in Cambria to Benjiman and Emma Davis. She married William David Spidle on Sept. 5, 1933. Following retirement, the couple moved to Winterset in 1977. She moved to the Woodward Care Center in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter; one brother; five sisters; and one great-grandson.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Duane Spidle and wife Shirley and Larry Spidle and wife Avis, all of Woodward; one brother, Robert Davis of Corydon; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
