M. C. Mountain Dies At Home

Marple Clark Mountain died Sunday, February 11, from a heart attack at the age of 67 years. Born in West Liberty, Iowa, his parents were Clark A. and Verda M. Hinkhouse Mountain.

For the past 44 years, Mountain had farmed in rural Lorimor. His previous residence was West Des Moines.

Surviving are his wife Fay; two sons, Clark of Macksburg and Richard C. of Arizona; four daughter, Eunice Haworth of Indianola, Verda (Tommi) Orr of Winterset, Ellen Mountain of Glenwood, and Christy Mountain of Des Moines.

Survivors also include seven grandchildren, three sisters and a brother.

Services were held Wednesday morning, February 14 at the McClaren's Resthaven Home Chapel in West Des Moines. Burial was made at the Resthaven Cemetery.
