EDWARD SPICK Died Thursday

Edward Spick, a resident of Winterset since 1940, died last Thursday, April 8, 1965, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 86 years of age.

Mr. Spick was born in Clarke county Nov. 11, 1878, a son of Joseph and Sophia Spick. Most of his life was spent near Murray until 1940, when he retired and moved to Winterset to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Mary Houston.

He was a member of the Methodist church at Murray, and of the Masonic lodge there.

Surviving are a brother, Alfred Spick, of Lorimor; two sisters, Mrs. Houston of Winterset and Mrs. Lila Westerfield of Osceola.

Funeral services were held Saturday from Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John Porath, pastor of the First Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in Union cemetery in Clarke county.
