BOYD PARKINS DIED SUNDAY AT DENVER

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Parkins Succumbs at 47 Years

Boyd Parkins, former Winterset resident, who had been living in Denver, Colo., for the past 20 years, died in a Denver hospital, Sunday, Feb. 16. Mr. Parkins, who was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Parkins of Winterset, died following an operation.

The deceased was born in Madison county, Nov. 11, 1899, and he lived in and near Winterset until 1926, when he went to Denver. There he was married to Miss Lillian Smebe of Denver, and they were the parents of three sons. One son, Paul, preceded the father in death. He was a painter and paper hanger.

Mr. Parkins is survived by his wife and the two sons, Boyd Junior, aged 18 and Richard 12. He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Parkins of Winterset, three sisters; Mrs. C. G. Algoe of Peru, Mrs. M. R. Cameron of Winterset, and Mrs. Charles Landers of Denver, and one brother, E. L. Parkins of Des Moines.

Funeral and burial services were held in Denver.
