Orville E. Corbin, 89, of Ames, died June 13, 1994 of cancer. Funeral services will be June 15, 2 p.m. at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial will be at the Story Memorial Gardens in Ames.
He was born March 7, 1905 in Nevada to Wilbert and Mary (McKee) Corbin. His first wife was Julia Soren. She preceded him in death in 1967. He remarried Gerine (Erickson) Myers on November 23, 1972 in Roland.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five brothers; and eight sisters.
Surviving relatives include his wife; three sons, including Virgil Corbin of Winterset; three daughters; two sisters; five stepsons; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and 17 step-grandchildren.
