Debbie Clear, 34, died May 18, 1994 at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston. Funeral services were held May 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Creston with the Rev. Glenn Meyer officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton.

Born October 27, 1959 in Mount Ayr, she was a homemaker and child care provider. She lived in Blockton as a young girl and graduated from Bedford Community School. She married Gary Clear in 1981.

Surviving relatives include her husband, three daughters, four sons, her parents, six brothers, one sister, and her mother and father-in-law, Claude and Lola Clear of Winterset.

A memorial was established in her name.
