Raymond Moore, rural Booneville

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. this Wednesday, Aug. 15 from St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lee township for Raymond L. Moore of rural Booneville.

Mr. Moore died Sunday, Aug. 11 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was 70 years of age.

A life-long resident of Madison County, he farmed 12 miles northeast of Winterset. He was a member of St. Patrick's Irish settlement Church.

Mr. Moore was born March 2, 1915, a son of Joseph and Icle McKinney Moore. He was married to Agnes V. Monaghan on May 14, 1940.

Surviving are two sons, Vernon Moore of Booneville and Dr. Howard Moore of Tucson, Ariz.; one half-brother, Jack Moore of Des Moines; three half-sisters, Murl Trafter of Des Moines, Hazel Duke of Des Moines, and Ruth Bohan of LaVista, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one infant son and one infant brother.

Officiating at the Requiem Mass Wednesday morning was Father John Richter. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

A rosary for Mr. Moore was held Tuesday evening at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
