Lieut. Robert E. Lowe of Truro has been killed in Germany while serving with the army air forces there, according to word received last Thursday by his mother, Mrs. Lois V. Lowe of Truro.

Lieutenant Lowe had been stationed in France, and had been serving as a navigator on a transport plane. He was up for promotion to the rank of captain in May.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lois Lowe of San Antonio, Tex.; and four brothers, Kenneth, Richard and Jerry Lowe of the U.S. navy and Bill Lowe at home.

Memorial services for Lieutenant Lowe will be held at 2 p.m. on May 6 at the Christian church in Truro.
