Young Woman Had Been An Invalid Since Early Childhood
Erma B. Smith, 28-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elva Smith of Macksburg, died on Wednesday of last week. She had been an invalid since she was seven months old, as the result of a serious illness.
Miss Smith was born near Lorimor on Oct. 29, 1916, the daughter of Elva and Martha Thompson Smith. She is survived by her parents, a brother, Sgt. Harold Smith of the U.S. army, now overseas; and her two grandfathers, Oscar Smith of Lorimor and Granville Thompson of Afton.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Macksburg Methodist church, with the pastor, the Rev. J. E. Englund, officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery south of Macksburg.
