MORTUARY

Frank D. Mason was born June 8, 1866, at Waukesha, Wisconsin, and passed from this life January 4, 1932, age 65 years, 6 months and 26 days.

He went to Kansas when 5 years old and lived there until 14 years of age. He then came to Iowa and has lived here ever since except 3 years spent in Illinois. He has resided in Truro and vicinity for the last twenty years.

He was united in marriage to Miss Eusebia N. Wallace of Melbourne, Iowa, on December 25, 1895. To this union one child was born but died in infancy.

He became a member of the Church of Christ while yet a young man. On moving to Truro he placed his membership with the local Christian church and has been a true and faithful member ever since. He and his faithful wife have cared for the communion service for many years and Brother Mason was always found at the door ushering.

He was made a Master Mason February 2, 1922 in the local Ivy Lodge No. 483 A.F. and A. M. and was also a member of Ivy Chapter No. 533 O.E.S.

He was honored by being elected to the position of Worshipful Master for the two years just ending. He served in other capacities previous to that.

He leaves to mourn his hurried departure his devoted wife, Mrs. Eusebia Mason, one sister, Mrs. Vada Kiser, of Portland, Oregon, one aunt, Mrs. Ellen Porter and numerous cousins, and friends, neighbors and children which only heaven can record.

The funeral services were held from the Christian Church at 2 p.m. January 6, 1932. The sermon was preached by Rev. 1. G. Randels using as his text Acts 11:24, "For he was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith." The text was suited to the man. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet. The local Ivy lodge No. 483 A.F. and A.M. with Mr. Durand in charge held their beautiful and symbolic service at the church. He was laid to rest in Ebenezer cemetery.
