IRMA I. LEE, Des Moines

Funeral services were held Mon., Aug. 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home for Irma I. Lee, age 90.

Mrs. Lee died August 16, 1990, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

The daughter of William and Nora Letz Hamilton , she was born February 17, 1900 in Adair County, Iowa. She was married to Bert T. Lee on July 20, 1918 at Creston. She and her husband were farmers in the Madison and Adair counties for years. She lived in and around Winterset for 50 years, and was self-employed in the decorating business. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and was active for 16 years in the MATURA Action Corporation. She moved to Des Moines six years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Ella Olson and Dixie Alexander of Des Moines; two grandsons, Gary Alexander of Coon Rapids, and Eugene Carter of Des Moines; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. David Bauer of Winterset. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
