CASH GRAY Died Here On Monday

Cash L. Gray, a well known retired farmer of this community, died here Monday, Nov. 23, 1959, at the age of 79 years. He had been a resident of Madison county since early life.

Mr. Gray was born in Rossville, Kan., on Jan. 24, 1880, a son of Levi and Samantha Orsborn Gray. He came to this county as a young man.

He was married at Winterset on Aug. 12, 1903, to Maude Jackson who survives him.

He had been a member of the Winterset Christian church since 1904, and had served as deacon and trustee of the church.

He leaves his wife, three sons, Dale and Lester Gray of Winterset and Elbert Gray of Iowa City; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four brothers, Harvey Gray of Des Moines, Fred Gray of Long Beach, Calif., and Floyd and Walter Gray of Winterset; and a sisters, Mrs. Thursa Johnson of Winterset.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday from the Winterset Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Robert Owens. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
