Bernice Schwab, 90, died of a heart ailment May 28, 1999, at Integrated Health Services in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1, at Collins Funeral Home with John Safford officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Bernice Schwab was born June 17, 1908, in Madison County to William Albert and Lutie Bell (McDonald) Bruett. She married Floyd O. Schwab. A lifetime resident of Madison County and a homemaker, Bernice was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, an infant daughter, four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by one brother, John Bruett of Des Moines; and one sister, Margaret Alexander of Texas.
