CHARLES NICHOLS DIES

Charles Nichols, former Madison county resident, died at a hospital in Denver, Monday, April 9th at the age of 79 years. Mr. Nichols had been in poor health for some time, but his condition became critical Easter Sunday and he was taken to a hospital where his death occurred a week later.

The deceased was born in the Worthington community, July 31, 1865, and he lived in Madison township until he was about 40 years of age. He was the son of George T. and Mary Nichols. He went to Colorado and was employed by the Denver Rio Grande railroad as long as his health would permit.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Nichols, and their daughter, Zoe Gose of Denver, Colorado, and by one brother and one sister, E. V. Nichols of Indianola, and Mrs. Walter Vance of Winterset.
