Clarence Palmer of rural Earlham died at his farm home two miles north of Earlham last Thursday, April 4. He was 70 years of age at his death.
Mr. Palmer was born at Monango, North Dakota on June 23, 1903, the son of Gorham and Ida Whited Palmer. He was married to Beatrice Herman at Winterset on November 29, 1933.
Mr. Palmer, a farmer, had lived in Dallas County for the past 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; and five children: Mrs. Bill (Ida) Allen of Greeley, Colorado; C. Gailen Palmer of Des Moines; Mrs. Carl (Lela) Bindel of Perry; Dale Palmer of Indianola; and Ronald D. Palmer at home.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Duff of Winterset.
Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Paul Bousfield officiating. Burial was in the Earlham Cemetery.
