Death of Walter Huston

Funeral services for Walter Huston were held Monday afternoon at one o’clock at the Methodist church, conducted by the Reverend A. P. Keast. Burial was in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery at Orilla. Mr. Huston who has been in ill health for some time passed away at his home Sunday, July 19th. He was 55 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Huston was born in Butler county, Kansas, on May 6, 1876 and came here with his family when nine years of age. He was married to Anna Maud Wilson on February 6th, 1902. A daughter Rhea Ida died in infancy. He is survived by his wife, father, Z. T. Huston, a sister, Mrs. Mary Dabney, two brothers, Earl of Burley, Idaho; and Taylor Wilson Huston of Valley Junction and a stepmother, Mrs. Ora Huston of Valley Junction.

Walter Huston

Walter Huston was born in Butler county, Kansas, on May 6, 1876 and died at his home in Winterset on July 19, 1931, at the age of 55 years, 2 months and 13 days. When nine years of age he came to Madison county, Iowa, with his father and mother.

He was married to Anna Maud Wilson on February 6, 1902. To this union was born one daughter, Rhea Ida, who died in infancy.

Walter was converted at the Pleasant View church in Webster township in the year 1897 and lived an upright Christian life. In 1907 during a severe illness, the Holy Spirit gave him a very clear witness to his sanctification. He always kept up his church membership wherever he lived.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, his aged father, Z. T. Huston, one sister, Mrs. Mary Dabney of Winterset, two brothers, Earl of Burley, Idaho, and Taylor Wilson Huston of Valley Junction and a stepmother, Mrs. Ora Huston of Valley Junction besides many friends.

Services were held at the M. E. church Monday at 1 o’clock with the Rev. A. P. Keast in charge. Burial was made at Orilla Pleasant Ridge cemetery.
