GLADYS STEWART DIED AT AGE 82

Mrs. Gladys Stewart, a lifetime resident of Madison County, died at her residence in Winterset last Tuesday, April 30. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Stewart was born at Macksburg on September 17, 1891, the daughter of Marion and Permilia Kingery Alexander. She was married to Lee Stewart at Creston on March 8, 1911.

She was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church of Winterset. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary, the Women's Relief Corps and church women's circles.

She is survived by one son, Marion, of Creston; by one granddaughter; and by one sister, Mrs. Olive Brown of Ames. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, in 1971.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Paul Bousfield officiating. Burial was made in Moon Cemetery at Macksburg.
