FREDA STALHEIM, Nora Springs

Freda Lena Stalheim, 70, of Nora Springs died Nov. 10, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 13, at St. James Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial was at Sunnyside Cemetery in Charles City.

Freda Stalheim was born Oct. 23, 1929, to August and Lena (Huber) Oleson of Nashua. She was united in marriage to Kenneth A. Stalheim on Dec. 13, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City. Freda was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and St. James Lutheran Church in Mason City. She also was a past member of Wigwam and Wagon and Good Sam's.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband of Nora Springs; three sons, Marlen Stalheim of Ames, Lyle Stalheim (wife Connie) of Muscatine and Roger Stalheim (wife Karen) of Winterset; two daughters, Darlys Vlantes (husband Nick) of Mason City and Connie Morrison (husband Mitch) of Hampton; two brothers, Albert Oleson of Evansdale and Robert Oleson of Charles City; five sisters, Marie Fritcher of Plainfield, Janet Barnhart of Greene, Grace Woodman and Ardith Goings, both of Nashua, and Gertrude Nelson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel in Mason City.
