Marion Lee Stewart, 65, of Creston, passed away at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He had been ill since September, 1981.
Marion Lee Stewart was born September 9, 1916 at Macksburg, the son of Lee and Gladys Alexander Stewart. Wilma Lantz became his bride on June 12, 1943 at Grant City, Mo. She survives him.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Marcia Ann Stewart of Polo, Mo., and an aunt Olive Brown of Ames, also survives.
Mr. Stewart was a retired farmer. He moved to Creston in 1970. He was a member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church.
Services were held on Wednesday at the Macksburg United Church with Rev. Kathryn Bates Bissen officiating with burial at Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton. Coen-Beaty Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
