Services for William Robert Stephenson, Jr., 84, Winterset, who died April 1 at Carmichael, Calif., will be held Thursday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating.
Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County Jan. 15, 1899, he was the son of William Robert and Mary Villiers Stephenson. He was a self-employed heavy duty equipment mechanic for 45 years. He married Lora Ridout Dec. 21, 1927 at Winterset.
She survives along with sons, Clifford W. of Barstow, Calif., and Robert of Cherokee; a daughter, Sherry Maureen Breckenridge of Fair Oaks, Calif.; sisters, Ida Ridout and Blanche Compton, both of Winterset; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
