FLOYD W. STEPHENS, Rural Lorimor

Services for Floyd Wesley Stephens, 83, rural Lorimor, who died May 8, 1986, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held May 10 at the United Methodist Church in Lorimor with the Rev. Mary Ann Bernard officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Born Sept. 10, 1902 in Missouri, he was the son of Miles and Ella Morgan Stephens. On June 2, 1924, he was married to Leona Gravett in Mills County, Iowa. He lived there until moving to Lorimor in 1940.

Mr. Stephens was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Courtney of Des Moines and Della Hunter of Lorimor; a son, Larry Stephens of Lorimor; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert of Henderson, Iowa; and a twin sister, Mrs. Maude Darby of Emerson, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, a brother and a grandson.
