Delores Miller Funeral Today

Delores Ilene Miller of Peru died Saturday, Nov. 29, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 50. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong resident of Madison County.

Born on Jan. 9, 1930, in Madison County, she was the daughter of Carl Vannatta and Carrie Lewie Fulton Datwyler. She was united in marriage to Elmer E. Miller on June 1, 1947, at Winterset and her husband survives her. A homemaker and beautician, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Also surviving are her father and stepmother, Carl and Louise Datwyler of Winterset; three children, Eugene Miller, Marlan Miller and Sherry Miner, all of Peru; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Maxine Miller of Peru, Phyllis Rickets of Randle, Wash., and Carolyn Dillinger of Victor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Fulton Datwyler.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 3 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor John Hanzalik officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.
