Our Mom, Virginia Mae Young was born December 6, 1910. She was the daughter of Alphaeus and Floetta Herren Wolfe. She was very proud to be the little granddaughter of the founder of Macksburg, Iowa who rode to school in a horse drawn sleigh and later enjoyed traveling by plane to see the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. She enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren.

Mom worked on the farm along side her husband, Alfred Young. She loved her garden and especially making quilts for her family. Mom was a member of the Earlham United Methodist Church.

She was a loving grandma to twelve grandchildren, great grandma to twenty, and great great grandma to one. And she was a wonderful, caring mom to Phyllis (Herb) Price, Esther (Leonard) Pitcock, Margie Godown, Kenneth (Flo) Young, Shirley (Gary) Annan, and loving sister to Esther Drake.
