RAY MILES RITES HELD OF FRIDAY

Former Patterson Resident Died July 10 at Age Of 73 Years

Funeral services were held here Friday from the Collins Funeral home for Ray Miles of Winterset, whose death occurred Wednesday, July 10.

The death of Mr. Miles occurred at his home in Winterset. He was 73 years of age.

A native of Crawford township, where he was born Nov. 23, 1889, he was a long-time resident of the Patterson community, where he engaged in farming during his active life. He was a son of John and Rosalie Slayden Miles.

He was married Dec. 31, 1912 to Alta Berry, who survives him. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lathrum of Truro, Mrs. L. J. Weeks of Fullerton, Nebr., Mrs. Kathryn Taylor of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. George Huston of Lorimor. He also leaves two nephews, Leslie and Larry, and two nieces, Shirley and Barbara who were reared in his home.

The Howard Cho of St. Charles conducted the funeral services Friday. Burial was made in the Hamblin cemetery.
