Harry L. Michael, Truro

Services for Harry Linnfield Michael, 71, Truro, who died August 2 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, were held Friday, Aug. 5 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Tom Webster of St. Charles officiating. Burial was at the Young Cemetery in Truro.

Born in Adel on May 31, 1917, he was the son of George and Nellie Mae Sell. He was married Dec. 30, 1948 to Margaret Veenstra and the couple had one daughter.

He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Joan Zitelman of Dyersville; four grandsons; and a brother, Raymond H. Michael.

Mr. Michael was retired from the Natural Gas Pipeline in 1979. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of the Ivy Lodge No. 483, the American Legion Post No. 729 in Des Moines, and the United Methodist Church in Truro. He graduated from Redfield schools in 1934.
