David M. Mease, Winterset

Services for David M. Mease, 38, Winterset, who died April 9 at his residence, were held April 12 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Des Moines Nov. 12, 1947, he was the son of Jack and Margaret Steddom Mease. He was a stock clerk for the Ben Franklin store in Winterset for the past two years.

On July 12, 1975, he was married to Nancy Jean Griffith at the Methodist Church in Winterset. He was a lifetime resident of Winterset, a member of the First Baptist Church, a past secretary of the Lions Club, a church clerk and deacon and a past president of a local day care board.

Survivors inclde his wife; parents; sons, Christopher Jeffery and Jason; and brothers, Jerry and Dan; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Steddom all of Winterset.

DAVID M. MEASE

WINTERSET, IA. –David M. Mease, 38, of Winterset, a stock clerk, died of complications of diabetes Wednesday at home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the cemetery here.

Mr. Mease was born in Des Moines. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, past secretary of Lions club and past president of Day Care Board.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; three sons, Christopher Michael, Jeffery David and Jason Paul, all of Winterset; his parents, Jack and Margaret Mease of Winterset; and two brothers, Jerry and Dan, both of Winterset.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Home and before service time Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
