Death of MRS. A. L. MARTIN

After weeks of lingering between life and death, Mrs. Maggie Martin died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer Tilton. A severe attack of influenza last winter was the beginning of Mrs. Martin's decline. Tuberculor and dropsical conditions developed so rapidly that for weeks her recovery has been deemed impossible. Death came as a great relief to her suffering.

Mrs. Martin was a daughter of the late Daniel Holgarth and has spent her entire life in this county. She was a devoted wife to her husband, a sympathetic mother, a kind neighbor and a loyal member of the Christian church. Her death brings sadness to many friends of the family. Besides her husband, A. Lincoln, her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Tilton, and a son Willis survive her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at ten o'clock in the Christian church.

Coordinator's note: In the disparity between the two obituaries regarding the deceased's maiden name, the second obituary is more correct than the first. The true maiden name per her parent's gravestone is "Halliwill".
