Wallace Allen Marshall, 92, of Winterset died of a heart ailment Dec. 14, 1998 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Post 184 and V.F.W. Post 8142. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17.

Al Marshall was born March 4, 1906, in Des Moines to Harvey and Myrtle L. (Allen) Marshall. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired from television service. He had been a resident of Madison County for 42 years and a resident of Winterset for 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Marshall; a son, Richard Dale Marshall; and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by a brother, Glen Marshall of Missouri, 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
