BRUCE MARSH OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Native of New Mexico Had Lived at St. Charles Since 1946

Bruce Marsh of St. Charles died last Thursday Aug. 17, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Marsh had been a resident of the St. Charles community since 1946. He was a native of New Mexico, where he was born at Lower Peniasco on March 2, 1898, a son of Herman B. and Belle Copland Marsh. His life was spent in New Mexico, Texas and Kansas before coming to Iowa.

He was married at Amarillo, Tex., on Nov. 16, 1932, to Winnie Crawford, who survives him.

He was a member of the Christian church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves four children, Mrs. Mollie Bowlin of Indianola, Jim Marsh of Minneapolis, Minn., Carol, at home and Letha Dent of Pittsburg, Pa. He also leaves seven grandchildren; a brother, Ira Marsh of Tulsa, Okla., and four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Carr of Cottonwood Falls, Kan., Mrs. Ona Wiese and Blanche Marsh of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Alice Good of Madison, Kan.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the St. Charles Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Tom Foglesong of Des Moines. Burial was made in the St.Charles cemetery.
