Edna M. Mapes, Council Bluffs

Edna M. Breeding Mapes, 89, of Council Bluffs died July 7, 1999 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 9, at Cutler Funeral Home in Council Bluffs with the Rev. Marvin D. Arnpriester officiating. Burial was Saturday, July 10, at Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating.

Edna Mapes was born Dec. 18, 1909 to George Allen and Nora I. (Newman) Breeding of Oskaloosa. She lived in Council Bluffs since 1942, having moved from Winterset. She was a homemaker and baby sitter. Edna was a member of the Winterset First Christian Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Shriner's Children Hospital.
