ALBERT STILES Dies At 92 Years

Albert Stiles, a well known merchant in Patterson for many years died this Wednesday morning, March 10, 1948, at the Peterson Nursing home in Winterset. He was 92 years of age.

Most of Mr. Stiles' active life was spent in the grocery business in Patterson. He had suffered a sroke in December and since then had been a patient at the local nursing home.

Mr. Stiles' wife (Roxanna Moore) died eight years ago. His nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Charles Stiles of Winterset, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie McGinnis of near Patterson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Patterson Methodist church. Burial will be in the Blair Chapel cemetery.

Patterson News Items

Funeral Services, in charge of the Rev. Oren Hall, were held from the Methodist church here Saturday afternoon for Albert Stiles, 92, the oldest resident of this community. Burial was made in the cemetery at Blair Chapel.

Among those from a distance who attended the funeral services were Mrs. Dwight Stiles and Jack and Rosemary of Fort Dodge, Ray Stiles and daughter, Marilyn, Mrs. Marjorie Stiles, Mrs. Forest Frye and son Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Child, Floyd and Harry Moore, Floyd Folwell and Mrs. Claude Ewick and daughters, Mrs. Mary Nicholson and Mrs. Blanche Brooks, all of Des Moines, Butler Stout, who is spending the winter in Des Moines, and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Moore of South Dakota.
