John Vernon Stifel, 78, Selah, Wash., died Monday, March 13, 1989, at his residence.
Mr. Stifel was born in Barney, Iowa on Dec. 30, 1910, the son of Frank and Bertha Decker Stifel. He married Florence Baker on Dec. 13, 1934. He was retired from the City of Selah.
Mr. Stifel is survived by his wife, Florence of Selah; daughters, Chris McMahon of Prosser and Charlene Williams of Selah; a brother, Claudean Stifel of Colville; a step-brother, Wilmar Hiatt of Arizona; a step-sister, Mary Clark of Kelson; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home in Selah.
