Donald Lee Stichter, 48, of Creston died of cancer April 18, 2000, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset with Pastor Steve Koch officiating. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date.
Don Stichter was born Jan. 24, 1952, to Ralph LeRoy and Dorothy (Reeves) Stichter of Rock Island, Ill. A construction worker, he was a resident of Winterset for the past four years, having just recently moved to Creston. Previously, Don had resided in Denver, Colo. He married Karen Zimmerman on April 14, 2000, in Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother of Denver, Co.; his
wife; two sons, Donald Lee Stichter, Jr. of Denver and Adam Lee Stichter of Creston; two daughters, Emily Katherine Stichter of Creston and Codie Victoria Stichter of Denver; and five brothers, Charles Stichter of West Terre Haute, Ind., and Ron Stichter, David Stichter, Terry Stichter and Ralph Stichter, Jr., all of Denver.
