Maude McMains Services Wednesday

Mahala Maud McMains, daughter of James H. and Mary E. Rogers was born in Monroe township, Madison County, Iowa, on September 17, 1883 and passed away Oct. 15, 1973 at the age of 90 years.

As a young woman she taught school in Madison County, moving to Lorimor in 1927, where she was a clerk in Kirkhart's grocery store.

She was also town clerk in Lorimor for several years. She was a member of the Baptist Church there.

On March 25, 1929, she was married to Aetna L. McMains.

Her husband, her parents, a sister and three brothers have preceded her in death. Surviving relatives are one brother, Frank L. Rogers of Tucson, Arizona, a sister, Mildred Smith, a step daughter in law and 3 step grandchildren besides several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at Baptist Church in Lorimor Oct. 17 with Rev. Wayne Ferguson officiating. Burial was in the Lorimor Cemetery.
