MRS. MAY MCLUCAS DIES AT 97 YEARS

Mrs. May McLucas, died Monday, May 30, at Memorial hospital in Winterset, at the age of 87 years. For the past 13 years she had made her home in Madison county. Until four years ago she lived with her daughter, Mrs. John Lehman of near Pitzer. For the last four years she had been at a nursing home here.

Mrs. McLucas was a native of Kankakee, Ill., where she was born May 9, 1873. She was married Oct. 12, 1896 to William C. McLucas. His death occurred in 1932.

She leaves two daughters, Opal McLucas of Denver and Mrs. Lehman of near Pitzer; a son, Ray McLucas of Winterset; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday morning from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Albert C. Bullock. Burial was to be made at East Linn cemetery at Redfield.
