GEORGE RAY MCLUCAS DIES AT 68 YEARS

George Ray McLucas, a resident of Winterset for many years died Sunday, April 24 at Clarinda. He was 68 years of age.

Mr. McLucas was born in Hamilton county, Missouri, Oct. 16, 1897, a son of William and May Bowdle McLucas. He came to Winterset from Des Moines in 1947. He worked as a gardener for many years.

He was married at Macon, Mo., on June 14, 1925, to Mary D. Dunlap, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Luella Bailey of Des Moines, and a son, Warner McLucas of California. He also leaves three grandchildren; and two sisters, Opal McLucas of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. John V. Lehman of Dexter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
