W. M. MCDONALD DIES AT 84 YEARS

Rev. Glenn Parrott Conducts Funeral Services Here Saturday

William M. McDonald, a well-known citizen of Winterset and a resident of Madison county all of his life, died at his home on East Court avenue Thursday, April 2. He was 84 years of age.

Mr. McDonald was born in Madison county on April 16, 1868. His active life was spent in farming, but he had been retired in recent years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Ella Klingman, whom he married in 1892. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ina Witham; a son, Lee McDonald; four grandchildren, Howard W. McDonald, Francis C. McDonald, and Alice York, all of Des Moines, and St. Sgt. James L. McDonald of Mt. Clement, Mich.; two granddaughters, five sisters, Mrs. Nancy Bowers of Omaha, Mrs. Johanna Ogden of Los Angeles and Mrs. Lutie Bruett, Mrs. Viola Wolverton and Mrs. Mary Binns, all of Winterset; and one brother, George McDonald.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
