Kenneth Eugene McDonald, 77, of St. Charles, died of cancer at his residence Nov. 16, 1995. Funeral services were Nov. 19 at the St. Charles Parish Church. The Rev. Ed Poston of St. Charles officiated and burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.
He was born in Winterset on Sept. 15, 1918 to Malcom Earl and Mary Elizabeth (Cooter) McDonald. He married Wilmarie Strawn on April 19, 1941 in Bethany, Mo.
He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a member of the Rolling Wheels Camper Club, Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star at St.Charles. He was a member of the St.Charles Parish Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving relatives include his wife; three sons, Galen McDonald and wife Kris of Owatonna, Minn., Mike McDonald of Iowa Falls and John McDonald and wife Susie of Des Moines; one daughter, Nancy McClimen and husband Gary of Des Moines; two brothers, Marion McDonald of Osceola and Raymond McDonald of Winterset; and two sisters, Phyllis Thomas and Ann Raftis, both of Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
