MRS. WALTER E. SABIN DIES

Mrs. Walter E. Sabin, former Winterset and Madison county resident, died early Sunday morning March 29th, at the Estherville hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Sabin, who was the former Vesta Ann McCauley, was a daughter of Alexander and Rebecca McCauley, and was born in Bevington, 48 years ago. When a child, her family moved to Winterset and she made this community her home until after her marriage to Mr. Sabin. They moved to the northern part of the state, and have since resided near Estherville and Armstrong.

Mrs. Sabin is survived by her husband, and their four children: Laverne of Ft. Ord, California, and Doris, Robert and Gerald at home. She also leaves a number of brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Graham, Dick and Ted McCauley of Winterset; Tom McCauley of St. Marys; John of Creston; Mrs. Margaret Stanfield of Des Moines; Jim of South Dakota; Rebecca Frances of Scottsbluff, Neb.; Lizzie Krebiehl of Chicago.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sabin were held at Estherville Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the Armstrong cemetery. Those going from here to attend were Mr. and Mrs. Dick McCauley, Mr. and Mrs. Zellar Graham and children, James and Evalyn, Mr. and Mrs. Tom McCauley and son Gerald and daughter, Mrs. Lambert Brumel of St. Marys, and John McCauley of Creston.
