Wednesday, January 15, 1941A. A. DEWITT DIES
Word has been received here of the death of Asmer A. DeWitt, former Madison county resident, at his home near Butler, Mo., Dec. 30. Mr. DeWitt had been ill for several months.
He was born in Bakersville, Ohio, June 20, 1865. He was married on November 14, 1888 to Mary M. Beerbower, and they moved with their family to their present home near Butler, 23 years ago.
Mr. DeWitt is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Avo Kelly of St. Louis, Mo., and three sons, Earl DeWitt, Ogden, Kan., Hoyt DeWitt of Kansas City, Mo., and Forrest DeWitt of Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Butler, Mo., Wednesday, Jan. 1st, and burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery in that town.
